Sea Shanty Singers
Barnacle Buoys is a non-profit group of a cappella sea shanty singers based in North Somerset. We exist to enjoy our craft, entertain our audiences and raise money for our chosen charities. Our principle charities are the Childrens Hospice South West and the RNLI.
Its “Lake and Pier Day” in Clevedon - we will be singing live at the lake at 12.30 and 1.40 pm
We will be here again this year supporting our friends at the RNLI. Look out for us - you will certainly hear us!

An afternoon of song and merriment hosted by the Port of Bristol Shanty Crew.
The most brilliant Festivals of 2021 and 2022 are to be repeated in 2023. Great news for Bristol and for shanty festival followers and performers.

We had a great evening when we last sang here. The acoustics were just wonderful. So pleased that we have been asked back again. Looking forward to another night of shanties and sea songs.

A repeat of last years fabulous festival of the sea at the wonderfully atmospheric Porlock Weir. Huge mix of stalls and events including sea shanty performances from the Barnacle Buoys. The Buoys will entertaining the crowds from about 2pm until the festival closes.
Performances at 1pm and 3.15pm - great event, lots to do and see.

Open house at the MERCHANT NAVY ASSOCIATION on Sunday 16th July. Come and grab a cup of tea, a burger and let local merchant seamen tell you a tale or two - stories from many leagues far away, if your very lucky. Or just relax and enjoy a shanty or two from Barnacle Buoys.
We’ll be right opposite the Nova Scotia pub from about 12 noon to 4pm.
Its a Sunday Fun Day and we have been asked to entertain the crowds at the Hand Stadium enjoying the market, classic cars, walking football, music and of course the food and drink on offer.
Whilst adding to the celebration mood of the day we will be raising funds for Childrens Hospice South West.
Welcoming the famous paddle steamer and passengers at the Pier head on Sunday 11th June.
Should be a rich mixture of excitement and nostalgia. A perfect backdrop for a sea shanty or two.
A music festival with a diverse mix of music in support of the community sports club.
Come and join in the fun, sing a few shanties and listen to one or two tales of the sea with us. Plus Hugill’s Crew and Minehead’s community choir in support.
Looks like we will be opening performances on the Pier at 12:45 pm on this day of celebration. Be so very good to see you there.
